Avent Calendar

I really wanted to use my new bind it all and I wanted to make a gift for my daughters teachers. I decided to do an avent calendar. It was kinda fun and didn't take too long. I did learn some lessons, but I think they turned out pretty good.

Brian's Book

My husband has a dear friend that passed away in a plane crash. Sadly we were not able to make it to the funeral. We wanted to do more than just send a card. So I came up with the idea of making this book.

I made a front and back cover.

And then had a page dedicated to each letter in his name.

I thought that it was fun that I was able to make the letters look like camo because he was big into hunting.

I had my husband think of things about his friend that started with the letters in his name and then wrote them on the coresponding page. On the last page my husband wrote a letter to his friends widow and children.

I then laminated the pages and bound them all together.
I hope that the family can enjoy this, and see Brian thru anothers eyes.

Thanks Pink Stamper

I just wanted to say thanks to my friend "the pink stamper". I had a great day and broadened my scrapbooking mind.

Challenge # 4- NSD

This challenge had us make a page or a card with an embellishment that we made or added to. Since I was having my daughter help me all day I decided to make her a Tinkerbell card. (Her Favorite Disney Character) I added ribbons to a sticker and I made the green buttons out of cardstock. I used a tinkerbell embossing folder on my cuddlebug to do the little tinkerbell with pixie dust. My daughter loved this card and placed in a special tinkerbell chair in her tinkerbell room.

Challenge # 3- NSD

For this challenge we were to make a

card with the background that we created. I made this background with my daughter. She loves pink so we had to have a pink card and pink ribbon. Whenever I look at this I will remember how much fun she had with my stamps.

Challenge # 2- NSD

The second challenge was to make your own background paper. I put paint on my sons feet. He was very patient.

Challenge # 1 - NSD

The challenge was to make a basic scrapbook page. My daughter likes to do crafts and my friend that posed the challenge had a video of her son making a page. My daughter saw that and wanted to do that to. So I thought I would let her help me with this.

National Scrapbook Day

Today was National Scrapbook Day. I took my kids to a friends house and we scrapped a little and talked a lot. It was fun.
We even made a video that she posted on her blog. I had a lot of fun and got great ideas from her blog where she was hosting fun things in honor of the day.

I have to thank my friend for letting me steal her idea! She has a blog just for her projects. It is a great way to remember the cute things you have done without having to keep a picture or a copy. She is such an inspiration to me and does so many cute things. So check out her blog at thepinkstamper.blogspot.com.
